Sylacauga, AL - A celebration of life for Judy Culver Craddock will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at Judy’s home - 212 South Norton Avenue, Sylacauga, AL.
Judy Culver Craddock died at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, August 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by husbands Van Michael (Mickey) Teel and Jack (Jabo) Craddock; mother, Eunice Helm Culver; and father, Gary Culver.
Judy was a very special person. In high school at B.B. Comer, she was head cheerleader, in the Homecoming Court and Valedictorian. She was quick and witty, with a great sense of humor. Her happiness and joy for life was contagious. She loved to travel, especially with her daughter and son in law, Judy and Andy Collins. Throughout her life she was always sweet and kind to everybody. Her faith in God was as fundamental to her as breathing. She was a member of Mignon Baptist Church, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school to the “little old ladies” in the church. Judy managed the Sylacauga Manor Apartments for many years before retiring at 78, and her kindness helped so many people there.
We appreciate the prayers and support from family and friends during this difficult time. We are also thankful for the loving care given to her by New Beacon Hospice, Dr. Bridges wonderful staff, Dr. Juan Campos and Dr. Hilary Ragsdale.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Michael Teel (Angie); daughter, Judy Teel Collins (Andy); three grandchildren (Max Collins, Sarah Teel and Emily Teel); and brother, Earl Culver.
Instead of flowers, please send a donation to Samaritan’s Purse or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
