Rockford, AL - James Carl Morton Jr., 65, died Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, James Morton Sr., and mother, Jane Morton. He ran Second Chance Garage in Rockford for 17 years. Mr. Morton was a missionary to Mexico and the Hispanic community and was a member of The Church of the Highlands in Sylacauga, AL. His passions were bee keeping and living on his farm. His family was his priority and his life. He loved the Lord and served him faithfully.
He is survived by his wife, Natalie Morton; three sons, Jamey (Vickie) Morton, Jeremy (Jessica) Morton, Joshua (Marissa) Morton; two step-sons, Nathan (Keri) Dunham, Nicholas (Heather) Dunham; step-daughter, Crystal (Bo) Wickersham; brother, Thomas (Amy) Morton; sister, Doris (David) Yoas; 17 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. at Jim's home (9893 AL Hwy 22 Rockford, AL 35136).
