David George Spates

David is survived by his wife, Christy Spates; his daughters, Heather Spates and Shelby Spates; his step daughters, Katie Thornburg and KariAnn Thornburg; his sister Sharon Melissa Green (Aaron); his grandson Andrew "Drew" Davis, his granddaughters Jocelyn Cook and Leeah "Belle" Adams; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members.

David was preceded in death by his father Alvin Spates; his mother, Brenda Black and his sister Angela Payne.

A funeral service for David will be held Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with Rev. Jacky Morgan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

David will be laid to rest in Harpersville Cemetery, Harpersville, Alabama.
