Sycamore, AL - Funeral service for Cecil Wayne Caldwell, 77, will be Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Radney-Smith Chapel. Burial will be in Tallasahatchie Cemetery in Alpine, AL.
Mr. Caldwell passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Ingrid Caldwell; his parents, William and Ruby Caldwell; and a brother-in-law Sam Martin. Mr. Caldwell was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He retired from Kimberly Clark and Bowater, where he worked as a crane operator. He was known for his love of fishing, hunting, camping, and being outdoors. Mr. Caldwell was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He will be truly missed.
Mr. Caldwell is survived by daughter, Lisa Ingram husband Phillip of Sylacauga, AL; three sons, Eric Caldwell of Saks, AL, Scott Caldwell of Orlando, FL, and Jason Caldwell wife Gina of Huntsville, AL; sister, Ellen Martin of Montgomery, AL; five grandchildren, P.J. Ingram wife Anna, Angel Linares, Alex Caldwell, Kristen Melaugh, and Erica Melaugh; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces.
Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Ingram, P.J. Ingram, Eric Caldwell, Scott Caldwell, Jason Caldwell, and Alex Caldwell.
