Graveside service for Carl Richard Thornton, age 71, of Sylacauga will be Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 3PM at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Harris officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel on Sunday. He was preceded in death by his wife: Ann Thornton, parents: Harlola and Virginia Thornton, sister: Joyce Thornton. He was a beloved evangelist, husband, dad and pawpaw. He loved the Lord, his wife and family and is now rejoicing in his eternal home. Survivors are his daughter: Alicia McClure (Patrick), sons: Brian Thornton, Glen Thornton (Melia), grandchildren: Meghan, Dylan, Anna, Joshua and a great grandchild: Legend.
