She was born on November 29, 1922 to the late Anthony and Mary Niedzielski in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. She married Michael Yurchesyn on November 12, 1956 and spent most of her life living in South Bar on their dairy farm. She was a loving wife and mother, enjoyed family gatherings, and was known for her great cooking. She is survived by her four children, Mary, Joseph, Kathaleen, and Ann, twelve grandchildren, Evan, Maribeth, Leanne, Maggie, Rosie, Anne, Julia, Joseph, Krystyna, Michael, Andrew and Nicole as well as sister-in-law Pauline and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, sister Mary, and brother Anthony.
Family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Spanish Bay, where Wanda was a resident for the past 10 years.
A visitation will take place from 6-9pm on Friday, October 30 at TW Curry Parkview Chapel. Social distancing and NS Health restrictions will be in effect. A private family service will be held with interment to follow at Forest Haven Cemetery. Those wishing to attend this service virtually may join the livestream on TW Curry’s Facebook page starting at 11am on Saturday, October 31.
