We send our deep condolences on the passing of Victor.  He was a great friend to my Dad Allan and I know they shared a special friendship. He will be remembered in our prayers.

To the family of the late Victor Campbell I extend my deepest condolences. I know this comes late and if you read this I apologize for perhaps awakening a bit of sadness. I was thinking of Victor today for some reason and realized that I had forgotten to send my condolences and had been unable to attend his celebration of life to give them personally.

I first met Victor when I started playing darts at the Louisbourg Legion way back when. Victor was living in Catalone at the time and I believe he was fishing for a living, as was I. Talking about fishing is an easy way to get to know someone.  Anyway I remember being shocked and amazed after speaking with Victor at how large his family was. I thought my family of seven (with parents included) was big but compared to Victors...wow! 

As the years progressed I got to know various members of Victors family but used to see them more than Victor. Our paths didn't cross very often other than darts but if they did we always had a bit of a catch up conversation, but not about where we lived apparently. Amazingly, I didn't even know Victor lived in the Marion Bridge area where I've been living for the past 22 years! I don't know how active Victor was in the community here because I rarely go out to the types of events I used to when living in Louisbourg. I'm not a recluse but just not socially active as I was when I was younger.  One would think with all the hundreds, if not thousands of times I stopped at Churches in Marion Bridge for one thing or another I would have run into Victor!

I find as I get older and reflect a bit on years gone by that I regret things I either did or did not do. Not knowing Victor lived nearby and not having an opportunity to see him more often is one of those regrets. Victor will be missed by many people both in and outside of his immediate family but I'm sure it will be with fondness and good memories of a life well lived. Rest in peace Victor.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Victor's passing.

Dear Donna and Victors family, we are so sorry for your loss of Victor, he was a great guy. Met first at darts then in the blueberry patch. I don,t think I ever knew anyone who liked picking berries as much as he did. His jam making was wonderful, a lot of people will miss that. So sorry Donna for the loss of your partner. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Victor through cards and other events in the St. Margret Community Hall. He was a gentlemen and a generous soul. I am sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Dear Donna, Nancy and Arlene and all of Victor's family, please accept our sincere condolences of our friends passing.  We got to know Victor through his sister in law Colleen Burns and her late husband Johnny Burns.  He never forgot his Margaree family even after finishing his fishing days here.  He'd call or drop in just to get the news but not let out too much on his side, with the twinkle in his eyes you knew he was thinking of something wise to say   hehehe....  lots of jokes and laughter, we will miss him for sure.  Take care!!!!
