Teresa Imelda Henderson

Teresa spent most of her life in Toronto. Her early school years were spent in a residential school in Shubenacadie, until she reached 16 years of age.

Teresa loved animals of all kinds , she was known to always have a cat or two and fed all local strays, as well as, giving generously to the humane society. Theresa also would knit toques, mitts and scarves for the homeless and hats and mitts for preemie babies. She would also help those less fortunate than her in any way she could.

Surviving her are her daughter Jeannie Rose (David)of Brampton ON, grandchildren; Michael Rose (Melissa) Caledon On, Tamara Rose, Brampton ON, Rose Vanwychen (Jim) and Diana Pictou both of Millbrook. 6 great grandchildren, Logan, Lincoln, Keith Jr., Vanessa, Billie James and Anna Mae, 1 great great grandson Karver.

She was predeceased by her husband Hubert Henderson, Daughter Delores Pictou, Grandson Barry Charles Pictou, Granddaughters Heather and Corrina Pictou. Her siblings Noel, Annie, John Billy, Mary Julia, Joseph, Wilfred and Cecilia.

Visitation will take place at the Gabriel center in Eskasoni after 7 pm on Thursday July 18, 2019. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 20 with Father Angus MacDougall presiding at Holy Family Church at 10:30 am.
