Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Sarah was the daughter of Katherine Noel Denny & the late Clarence Edward Knockwood Jr. of Indian Brook N.S.
Sarah had a big heart and loved people. She cared about so many people and tried to help them with their needs as much as possible. She was a beautiful kind woman and loyal friend to many. She always greeted people with a smile. She joined the gym in Eskasoni & Sydney as she loved fitness. You can see Sara walking on the road on a daily basis. She loved kickboxing. She won the triathlon in Eskasoni and she is known as the “Iron woman”.
Her lifelong friends knew her as a “sister”. She loved playing the piano, karaoke and most of all spending time with her sons & partner. Sarah was part of the Eskasoni Women’s Drum Group who performed all over Nova Scotia with traditional songs. She was also part of the Denny Family Dancers since she can walk. Recently Sarah enjoyed beading and began to paint. She enjoyed reading, writing, poetry, writing songs & kept a journal.
Sarah is survived by her mother Kathy and Step father Reginald (Reg) James Adrian, her beloved sons Chase Aaron Denny & Andrew Carter Morris both of Eskasoni, sister Irena Whitall (Josh) Stepsisters Alexandra Adrian (B.C.), Erin Adrian (Saskachewan), Josephine (Mandy) (Calgary), Gwen Marinella-Harlos (Perry) (Saskachewan), Sara (Calgary AB), Step brothers; Michael Orten (Tristin) (Saskachewan), Joseph Orten (BC), Jason Tomaro (Saskachewan). Nephews Tyrese & Dominic both of Eskasoni, Godparents Wilma & Noel Joe Simon Godchildren Harmony and James Denny as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces & nephews, cousins, & many friends.
Sarah is predeceased by her infant son Carter Edward Noel Denny, Maternal Grandparents Noel Richard & Sarah Denny, Paternal Grandfather Clarence Knockwood Sr., Paternal Step Grandfather Victor Adrian,
Godfather Maxim Sylliboy Sr., Uncles Richard & Joel Denny, Foster Frank Apel, Foster Roddie Johnson, Markie Howe, Keith Julian Aunts Jessie Denny (Paqtnkek), Mary Rose Julian, Delena Sylliboy, Janice Paul, Beverly Teresa, Anne Knockwood & Cyrilla Knockwood & Marlene Billy (BC) Cousins Holly Ann & Spencer.
Visitation for Sarah will begin Sunday, April 2nd after 7pm at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 4th at 10:30am, with Fr.
