Rita Marie Michael

MICHAEL; Rita Marie 61 of Eskasoni, passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Nancy Cremo-Michael and George Alex and step daughter of John Michael. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Eskasoni.

Rita was a loving and caring mom, grammy, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed morning coffee and visits with family. She loved to cook and prepare meals for her loved ones. She enjoyed P.I. Bingo, Karaoke, long drives, camping and playing dice games with family and friends.

She will be sadley missed by her children, sons Noel, Johnny, Albert, George and Leon (Kate), daughters Esther (Shannnon), Rita (Morgan), grandchildren Makayla (Pictou), Dianna, George, Mikey and Trae, brothers Martin (Mary Thereasa), Mike (Gwen), only sister Marion (George) and adopted brother Douglas Paul (Sarena). She is also survived by her godchildren Shannon Googoo, Darlene Poulette, Malcom Cremo, Nakitta Dennis, Brylan Bernard and Mike Cremo jr. and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and godmother Madeline Morris and the father of her 2 youngest children, Noel Julian.

She was predeceased by her husband John Michael Bernard sr., godfather Roderick Bernard, son Alexander Daniel Bernard and 2 children in infancy.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 20 at 2:00pm and will be livestreamed through TW Curry’s Facebook page. With Interment of her cremated remains taking place in Holy Family Parish Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.twcurry.com.
