Melvin Edward Covey

Melvin was the son of Roy and Annie (Samways) Covey.

He was a skilled carpenter with the Sydney Steel Plant where he worked until retirement.

He was very proud of his children, and loved every minute of time spent with his grandchildren.

Melvin is survived by wife Jessie Thomson Covey, children JoAnn (Darrell) Pettipas, Noelle (John) Cameron and Ross (Tonya) Covey, grandchildren Erin, Jane, Simon, Avery, and great grandchild Landry. He is also survived by sister Shirley (Jimmy) McNeil and brothers Norman (Judy), LeeRoy, and Ken.

Melvin was predeceased by his brothers Gary, Robert and sister Norma.

There will be no visitation or service as per Melvin’s wishes.
