1942-2019
With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Lloyd George Moore on October 7, 2019 in his home surrounded by family.
Lloyd was a man who loved his family. His favourite gift was to have all of his family together. He was a kind man and wanted the best for his children.
Lloyd was a very proud Newfoundlander, born in Harbour Breton Nfld. He may have moved here at the age of twelve but his heart was always in Nfld and Big Pond was a close second.
He had a distinguished career selling insurance for over 30 years and was also a proud member of the CBU Alumni Association.
He had the pleasure of being married to the love of his life for 53 years. He is survived by his wife Catherine (Sehl) Moore, his five children; Bill (Bonie), Lloyd (Melanie), Sheila (Stephen), Lisa (Trevor) and Keith (Shannon). Also survived by seven grandchildren; Savannah (Jon), Nicholas (Shannon), Keigan, Katie, Michael, Maddex and Sloan and brother Gerald (Pat) Moore.
Lloyd was predeceased by his mother and father Mabel and George Moore, brother Fred and sister Beatrice and sister in infancy, Mary.
‘Long may your big jib draw, with your rubber boots on. Thanks for coming.’
Visitation will take place Saturday, October 12 from 5-7 pm at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel with a service immediately following at 7 pm with Fr. Bedford Doucette presiding. Interment at a later date.
Donations can be made to the Palliative Care and Cancer Patient Care Fund at Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
