We the family announce with sadness in our hearts, the sudden passing of our beloved David Francis Isaac, on Nov 17th, 2022, at his home in Membertou. He was the son of the late Paul Isaac and Philomena “Kulup” Paul-McEwan.
David had an adventurous spirit and a genuine zest for life that often saw him travelling all over the country, swapping stories and sharing a smile with people from all walks of life. His infectious laugh and positive attitude were always on display. David was fearless and always willing to greet each day with renewed vigor. He was an avid Boston Bruins fan and loved to play Bingo.
David worked very hard all his life. He was a handy man who was always willing to lend a hand to those who needed help and held many jobs over his lifetime including lobster fishing, cutting trees, residential clean up and general handyman duties. His strong work ethic led to people relying on him to take on jobs that others would refuse. When David was around his loving wife Colleen was usually not far behind. The two were inseparable they met 21 years ago and they united their love when they married nearly 14 years ago. Some would say she settled his adventurous spirit and made his house a home. David adored his stepchildren that Colleen blessed him with, and his presence will be missed by all those who knew him.
David is survived by his wife Colleen, brothers Chief Terrance J. Paul (Tracy) and Kenneth “Kenny” Isaac (Deborah), sisters; Wanda Isaac, Theresa “Sundales” Marshall (Rick), Sheila Isaac, Patricia Isaac (Craig), Paula Isaac (Madonna) and Michelle McEwan (Mark). David also leaves to mourn his stepchildren; Tanya Murray (Shane), Beverly Rose, Gail Rose, and Colleen Rose, and his grandchildren; Baillie Murray (Richard), Richard, Damon, Colt, Rachel, Johnathan, Sanwel, Charity, Keaton, Hailey, Marshall, Louis, Mary-Elizabeth, Melasia, Godric, Kelly, Isabella, William, Faith, Hope and Aiden. David also leaves behind many great nieces, great nephews, nieces, nephews and cousins.
