Clarence J. 'McGee' Gould

Clarence Joseph Gould, 53 of 44 Crane Cove Road, Eskasoni passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, June 27, 2011 surrounded by his family.

Born in Boston, MA he was a son of Noel Joseph Gould of Whycocomagh and the late Mary Pauline (Paul) Gould. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Eskasoni. He was employed as Treatment Director of the MiQmaw Lodge in Eskasoni for 30 years. He volunteered his time to many causes in the community particularly to the crisis team and the Boys and Girls Youth Clubs. When he was young McGee was active in all team sports and more recently he was fond of golf and most outdoor activities. His sense of humor will be remembered.

He is survived by the love of his life Pamela Doucette and daughter Hannah at home and also Lynda Gould of Eskasoni; sons, Duma (Mag), Justin (Marilyn), Elliott, Athanasius, Re’Jay, Levi, Judd, all of Eskasoni; daughters, Sasheen (Ken), Abigail, Winter, Keanna, all of Eskasoni; also survived by 24 grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth (Billy), Lori-Anne (John), Norma, all of Whycocomagh and Kari (Audie), Eel Ground, NB; brother, Terrance (RaRa), Whycocomagh; numerous God children and other very close family members; Uncle Lloyd and Uncle Jeffrey.

He was predeceased by sisters Anna and Doris Gould.

Visitation for the late Mr. Gould will begin on Saturday, July 2, 2011 after 7:00 p.m. in the Gabriel Centre, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 4, 2011 at 10:30 am in Holy Family Church, Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating with interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
