Abraham "Goli" Gabriel Paul

With regret we announce the passing of Abraham “Goli” Paul of Eskasoni, on Monday August 26, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Martin & Helen (Marshall) Paul.

Goli was a member of the Baha’i faith in Eskasoni. He was a very kind man, a gentle soul, and loved by his community. Goli was an avid Bingo and card player, he loved to travel to Pow Wows and other places. Right until the end, he was looking forward to going back to Ottawa, where he always enjoyed visiting. Uncle Goli also greeted his nieces and nephews with a hug and a kiss on the forehead.

He is survived by his adopted brother Ronald John (Marie) Paul and sister Jessie (John I.) Bernard, numerous godchildren, nieces Alice Francis, Judy Sark, Margaret Paul, Cecilia Marshall, Shirley Paul; nephews Allan Paul, Terrance Paul, Sylvester Paul , Clement Paul, and Kennis Paul

He was predeceased by his biological parents Michael T. and Bridgette (Marshall) Paul, brothers Peter Michael, Louis, Tom and Murray; sisters Margaret and twin sister Maria and by nephews Allistar Paul and Clifton Paul.

A visitation will take place at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni, after 7 pm, on Saturday August 31. A visitation will also be held on Sunday September 1, at the Baha’i Center, Eskasoni, after 7 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Monday Sept 2, 2019 at the Baha’i Center, 130 Anslum Road, Eskasoni. A salite will follow at the Gabriel Center.
