Caroline was the beloved daughter of the late R. Kenneth and Caroline (Steele) MacLeod of North Sydney.
Caroline was a devoted and caring daughter and anytime you saw her mother, Caroline was always nearby. She loved her work as a nurse at the Northside General Hospital and it was a calling, more than a job. Her kind and caring nature, combined with her attention to detail made her an exceptional nurse. It was these traits that also helped her to create life long friendships, never missing a birthday, or an opportunity to brighten your day. Some of her favorite things to do are going for drives with Rocky to MacDonald’s or Subway for a treat, swimming especially with Rocky, or movie nights with Wally, watching Grey's Anatomy with Leanne and ringing in the New Year with family and friends.
Besides her father, Caroline was also predeceased by her sister Marie, a sister in infancy, her grandparents, and 2 uncles Gordon and Hector. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her mother Caroline, aunt Patsy (Ray) Foley, numerous cousins and many friends including Ben and Rhea, but especially her heart sisters Leanne (Justin) Latwaitis, Crystal (Michael) Williams and Wanda Pye. She will also be missed by her god children Brea and Emily and of course her fourlegged friend and constant companion Rocky, Friend and neighbour Blair and all of her work family on 2 West.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 9 at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, 8 Clyde Avenue, Sydney Mines. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family by visiting fillmoreandwhitman.com. If desired, donations in Caroline’s memory may be made to either the SPCA or the Diabetes Association.
