Stacia Mary Sarna

It is with great sadness that the family of Stacia Mary (Pietrzyk) Sarna, 92, of Swansea, MA announce her passing on Thursday, March 14, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Walter T. Sarna, Sr.

Born on October 12, 1931, she grew up on the family farm in Westport. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Rogula) Pietrzyk. Stacia is survived by her children Janice Sarna Cyburt of North Providence and Walter T. Sarna, Jr. of Swansea, her granddaughter Melissa Roberts (Brad Roberts) and great-grandson, Logan Lizio of Smithfield, RI. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Sarna.

Stacia leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and was so proud of her great-grandson.

Stacia owned her own beauty salon for many years and created a fun and warm environment where friends came to meet every week. She was a talented seamstress, knitter and crafter creating costumes and wedding dresses for her family. Stacia was an avid traveler having enjoyed trips to Europe, Scandinavia, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, England, Greece, Egypt, Canada and throughout the United States. Her joy was spending time at her “little place” in Dennis on the Cape.

The family would like to thank the compassionate and caring medical team at Charlton Memorial Hospital and Hospice Staff as well as the Southcoast VNA Hospice, especially Jen and Theresa.

All services will be conducted privately.
