Ronald G. Levesque, age 76, of Swansea, passed away, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in Kimwell Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of Jean G. (Baribeault) Levesque to whom he was married for 53 years.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Roland and Claire (Rouleau) Levesque, he graduated from Marianapolis Preparatory School and attended Providence College. Mr. Levesque was the Circulation Manager/Transportation at the Norwich Bulletin from the late 1960s until 1986 when he then became the Circulation Director for The Fall River Herald News before retiring in 1990.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline M. Benoit and her husband Douglas, one granddaughter, Danielle Medeiros and brother-in-law, Robert J. Baribeault. He was the brother of the late Gerald Levesque. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and CNAs of Southcoast VNA and Kimwell Nursing Home for the care and comfort they provided.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 8:30 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visitation from 8:30 – 9:30 in the funeral home prior to mass. Relatives and friends invited. Contributions in his honor may be made to Town of Swansea Animal Shelter, 68 Stevens Rd., Swansea, MA 02777. Burial in Vinnicum Woods Cemetery, Swansea.
