Robert A. Flannery

He was born in Fall River, the son of the late Edward F. Flannery Sr. and the late Mary P. (Lesieur) Flannery. Robert was a graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School in Fall River and later moved to Swansea where has been a resident for over 50 years.

Mr. Flannery was employed as a Service Writer with Poirier’s Inc. in Fall River, prior to that he was employed with Globe Manufacturing in Fall River and was a longtime member of the Touisset Country Club in Swansea.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by two daughters: Sharon Medeiros and her husband Michael of Swansea and Susan Luther and her husband Wayne of Cumberland, RI; four grandsons Gregg Medeiros, Brett Medeiros and his wife Jocelyn, Daniel Luther and Michael Luther; a great granddaughter Riley Medeiros and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Edward F. Flannery Jr., James Flannery and Claire Flannery.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 9AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by his Funeral Mass at 11AM in St. Louis de France Church 56 Buffington St., Swansea. Visiting hours will be Wednesday prior to his mass from 9 to 10:30AM. Burial will be private.
