Born in East Providence, RI a daughter of the late Roque and Eva (Perry) Silva she was a longtime resident of Swansea.
An active woman she belonged to the Swansea Steppers, the Swansea Council on Aging and a bowling league. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and going to Foxwoods. She adored Halloween and Christmas and will be remembered for her desire to have as much fun as she could and for her sense of humor.
She is survived by three daughters, Joanne Araujo, Louise Patterson and Marylou Forand; two sons, Richard E. Faria, Sr. and James Faria; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Richard E. Faria, Jr. and predeceased by eight brothers and one sister.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd.
