Lise had many hobbies, such as gardening, renovating homes, playing bridge and ukulele with her community group to name a few. Lise even wrote and recorded a song of her experience going through chemotherapy and and shared it with nursing staff while in hospital.
She sang with the Universal Gospel Choir and volunteered at the crossroads hospice.
Lise graduated from SFU with a masters in education.
Lise was always positive, even in light of her recent diagnosis.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, love and cherished memories for those of us who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing will be a huge loss to family and many friends.
Lise is survived by her loving husband Gary; mother Marit, father Harold; brother Erik and her nieces Cecilia and Mathilde.
The family would like to thank Peace Arch Hospital sixth floor medical ambulatory care outpatient IV therapy and medical infusions.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
Please join me, our family and friends in a celebration of life for our beloved Lise, who left us on October 29, 2023. It will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Rotary Field House 2197 148 Street, Surrey (in the South Surrey Athletic Park).
Please drop by between 1:00pm - 5:00pm to honouring her memory and listen to tributes of her life that will be given. Snacks and beverage will be served.
After Glow
I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one,
and leave an afterglow of smiles,
when life on earth is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and
laughing times and
bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of
those who grieve,
to dry before the sun
of happy memories that I leave
when life on earth is done
