Elton Ovid Fung

Elton Ovid Fung, 89 years of age, peacefully passed away at Langley Memorial Hospital. He was loved and adored by his wife Louisa (pre-deceased) and siblings Roy (pre-deceased), Desmond, Shirley (pre-deceased), Donald, Patrick, Dennis (pre-deceased), James, Edwin (pre-deceased) and Patricia.

Elton was born in Golden Grove, British Guiana, South America. Elton and Desmond immigrated to London, England in 1958 to lay the foundation for the remaining family members to join them. After living in two rental homes, Elton worked hard to purchase his home at 28 Halstead Road. This became the family home in London and many were welcomed and invited to stay – the door was always open.

Elton will be remembered for: his love, devotion and care to his mom, dad and his brother Dennis; his willingness to help his families and friends in time of need; his commitment to his job at the manufacturing company Metal Box, where he was well respected; his appetite for a variety of foods and his travel experiences.

Later in his life, he met Louisa Ramsumair and they married in 2012. They enjoyed a happy and life-long friendship.

A sincere thank you to Renwyck (Elton's nephew) who spent countless days taking care of his Uncle Elton in London. The family appreciates the staff at Brookside Lodge for providing a caring environment during his short stay.

Elton will be missed but never forgotten. He now joins his beloved wife. May they rest in peace
