William "Bill" Lyons

William “Bill” Lyons, 85, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on September 9, 2013. Bill was formerly from Downers Grove, Illinois, where he resided on Victor St. for the majority of his life with his family then later retired in Red Granite, Wisconsin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, gardening (particularly his tomatoes) and collecting trains. Bill will be dearly missed by all those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia L. Lyons, and sister, Ruth Poncar. He is survived by his loving children, Sandra (Wayne) Lueck of Surprise, AZ, and William D. Lyons of Sarasota, FL, grandchildren, Jennifer Anne Delaporte, Christopher William Lueck and Sage Hannah Lyons and sister, Dorothy Anderson of Red Granite, WI. Bill will be laid to rest at a later date at Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, Illinois. Arrangements are entrusted to Surprise Funeral Care, Surprise, AZ.
