I am   so  touched with all the beautiful words and stories about my son, Ronnie.  I would have given my life for him, as he had so much more of life to give. Susan. I worked with Ron at O'Hare in the 80's. Those were the golden days of United and Ron was so much a part of them. He had a tough job  keeping all of us in line but he did it with warmth and humor. When I think of those days, it is impossible not to think of him. Dear Sue , I am so sorry to hear about Ron. I will always remember the Christmas dinners at Pearls house with the whole family around. Now it seems like a century ago but this brings back memories. Whenever I visited AZ, I always looked forward to seeing you and Ron. I will always remember Ron's wit and good humor, and his obvious pride in our country. I will hold you both in my prayers.

I have fond memories of a wonderful man who made everyone he was with feel special. One of my favorite conversations was in Savannah when we skipped out on some event and sat at a bar and talked for hours. You will be missed my friend. XO

As a pilot flight manager at ORD I knew you as "Ron Tom" and was always impressed by your kindness and patient problem solving abilities. You were widely known and respected among your peers as a true mentor to all, and many pilots will never know how much they owed the beginnings of a smooth flight to your capable handling and professional disposition of early problems arising in the gate areas. You were sorely missed when you left ORD and are missed even more as you finish boarding the final flight you began many years ago. God speed and smooth sailing Marine.

I worked with Ron for many years at Ohare. He was well-liked and respected by everyone.  He was a great manpower supervisor and Operating Mananger, and a great friend over the years.  Ron, I think of you often,and my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

What a lot of wonderful memories we have of growing up with Ron....summers and lots of family fun...never will forget some of the great times...our thoughts are with everyone in your family from Dan, Vicky, Harry and Patty Rollins. Your cousins will miss you.

Ron, while I've only known you for about five or six years, I feel like I've known you forever.  I used to enjoy our talks at the Sun City Grand poker club.  I know you used to get nervous when you had pocket aces, and that you enjoyed Snicker bars.  I also enjoyed the time I filled in to play  Bocce Ball with you, Susie and the rest of the poker club.  

Ron, I will miss your sense of humor and our conversations about Chicago.  May you always have pocket aces and all of the Snicker bars you want.

I have so many great memories of Ron. I can still see him walking the concourse at ORD. He would come over to us, working the gate, softly make a remark that summed up everything and made us laugh. He had a presence with his stature and Marine background. He could and was willing to intervene when we needed his help.His loss is hard to believe.
