HARRIS, Robyn Renae, 46, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2019. Robyn was born in Weatherford, Oklahoma on October 15, 1972 to her parents Neva Jo Taff and Dale Ray Taff of Eakly, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her loving son, Kelby Reed Harris (19); and grandparents, Earl and Opal Taff, and Joe and Neva Clear. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Lance Avery Harris; and son Kody Reece Harris. Other family members missing her from Oklahoma and Texas are her brothers, Brady Taff and his wife Lyndsey Taff, and Dusty Taff and his wife Lyndi Taff; mother in-law, Linda Barham and her husband, Duke Barham; father in-law Zearl Harris and his wife, Sharon Harris; sister in-law, Donna Harris-Blonien; brother in-law, Craig and his wife, Sandra Harris; loving nieces and nephews, Kasten Taff, Cutter Taff, Kynli Jo Taff, Keagan Taff, Cooper Taff, Clay Harris and son Jay Harris, Tanner Harris and many other cousins and family members who will miss her so very much!
Robyn grew up on the family farm in Eakly, Oklahoma and graduated Eakly Public School in 1990. At the early age of 3, Robyn started playing the piano with her grandmother, and by the age of 4 she started to learn chording and she could play by ear on the piano. As her interest in music grew she won many music competitions in her life. Robyn was also very athletic and played basketball throughout high school. She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she started college classes at the age of 16. Robyn had a passion for music and completed her degree as a Board Certified Music Therapist and Music Education in 1995. Following her graduation she completed her internship in Norman, Oklahoma. Robyn was a Board Certified Music Therapist and had a passion for promoting Music and Music Therapy throughout her life. Robyn introduced Music Therapy and created programs for Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Center and Presbyterian Hospitals in Oklahoma. In 2008 after moving to Arizona, Robyn opened Musical Surprise in Surprise, Arizona. As the CEO/Owner of the company she had a passion of creating a place of music for everyone, of all ages to learn music. Through her experience, knowledge of music and business expertise, she has grown Musical Surprise to the largest Music Center of the West Valley in Arizona. After 35 years of teaching Robyn recently retired and was looking forward to the new journey in her life personally and with her family.
Services will be held at the Cross Church located at 17475 West Bell Road, Surprise, Arizona 85374 on Tuesday October 1st, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
