Paul Richard Durio, 54, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on August 24, 2022, surrounded by loved ones, after a hard fought two and a half year battle with throat cancer. He will be deeply missed and highly regarded by all who knew him.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Amy and son, Cody. He also left behind his father, Richard (Dick) Hageman and step-mother, Ellen, mother, Sharon (Sherry), his brother, Mark, step-brothers, Michael, Darrell, Duane, step-sister, Monique, mother-in-law, Cheryl, father-in-law, Sal, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws who love him dearly.
Paul was a loyal, loving and caring person. He was a friend to everyone he met and made long lasting friendships from coast to coast. He valued people no matter the time or distance. Although his life presented many challenges, he always found a way to overcome them by dedication and hard work. His work ethic and strong moral compass was the foundation for his success with his 20+ year career at American Express and International Business Machines (IBM) and his commitment to educational excellence earned him the high honor of summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a B.S. degree in Global Business from the School of Global Management and Leadership in 2008.
He loved spending time with his family, friends, church family, surrounded by laughter. His multiple interests and talents include photography, woodworking, gardening and supporting his alma mater, ASU and AZ sports teams.

A memorial service in his honor will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 10am at Surprise Funeral Care. The service will be live streamed and recorded for those unable to attend. The family welcomes all who loved Paul to attend.
