Merlin (Butch) Clevers passed in peace, June 26, 2024, at his home in Surprise, AZ. He was a beacon of joy and camaraderie, known for making friends easily and sharing countless memorable moments over a cold beer.
Merlin (Butch) W. Clevers was born to Wilbert and Elidah (Dickman) Clevers on March 27, 1942, in Sheboygan, WI. He had the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His infectious laughter, genuine kindness, and love for good conversation made him a cherished friend to many.
Throughout his life, Butch embraced the simple pleasures, believing that true happiness was found in the company of family and friends and the enjoyment of life's everyday moments.
Butch is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cheryl (Setzer) Clevers, their children, Crystal (Bruce) and Candy (Josh), and his children, Cyndi, Mike, and Cathy (Wayne). His grandchildren, Aimee, Ashlee, Brandyn, Katie (Drew), Quinton, Alisha, Kayla, Emma and his sidekick and Lego building companion, Austin. His family and friends will forever cherish the warmth, humor, and love he brought into their lives. Butch leaves behind a legacy of friendship, laughter, and countless stories that will continue to be shared for years to come.
A celebration of Butch's life will be held in his birth state of Wisconsin, in the summer of 2025.
Butch's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, reminding us of the importance of friendship, joy, and the simple act of enjoying a beer with those we hold dear.
