John served in the USAF from 1953 – 1958 and the USNR from 1958 – 1967 while working at the airline from 1952 until 1993. John started with Southwest as a flight attendant and worked as a mechanic, maintenance engineer, flight engineer and retired as a pilot with Northwest Airlines.
John enjoyed his career and the people he met along the way. John loved his family foremost and will be remembered for his love of life and his quick wit.
