He was born July 5, 1949, in Clark County, Missouri, the son of the late Earl A. and Minnie Nimmo Edmondson.
He attended school in Clark County and studied at Northeast Missouri State University.
Glenn had a longtime career in business and sales. With his sharp intelligence and driven work ethic, he rose through the ranks from managing Jewel-Osco stores across the Midwest to becoming one of the leading directors at Albertsons Companies. Before his retirement from this corporation, he was the Corporate Director (Beer) with a region covering nearly two-thirds of the country. He also worked for many years for Alliance Beverage before his retirement.
He loved to watch football, read books and watch movies. He also was an avid golfer. While still working he often hit the links with colleagues and friends and played in many charity tournaments. After retirement, he continued to enjoy this hobby both in men’s and couple’s leagues.
Glenn also loved to travel. In his retirement, he enjoyed taking trips with family and friends to some of his favorite places such as Mexico, Alaska, Seattle and his stomping grounds in the Midwest, as well new places such as Thailand, Vietnam and Canada.
Even though he loved taking adventures to far away destinations, he made each day an exciting adventure with his loved ones. His social calendar was often filled with get-togethers, dinners and parties with friends, even hosting an annual themed Christmas party that not surprisingly drew nearly 100 attendees.
Glenn was always the life of the party and could instantly strike up a conversation with anyone with his funny, loving and charismatic personality. He was also kind and generous, never denying the opportunity to help anyone in need.
Most importantly, he loved his family. He embraced each moment spent with them and beamed with pride and joyful tears when sharing stories about them with others.
Glenn is survived by his life partner Christine Creed of El Mirage, Arizona; sister Burnadeen Balzer of Canton, Missouri; son, Sean Edmondson (fiancé Stacey Britton) of Springfield, Illinois, and daughter Samantha Pogue (husband Timmy) of Osage Beach, Missouri; Chris’s children Troy Creed (wife Tia) of Desert Hills, Arizona, Tom Creed of Phoenix, Arizona, and Karen Gallagher (husband Eric) of Anthem, Arizona; Jennie Dotson of Phoenix, Arizona; and David Dotson (wife Ashley and children Petyon and Rhett) of Phoenix, Arizona.
