Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 85, of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away on March 10, 2014. Ruth was born in Mount Forest, Ontario, Canada on December 12, 1928. She graduated nursing school in 1952, and was a practicing RN for 7 years. Ruth was very devoted to her husband, Alfred, whom she married in 1955. She was predeceased by Alfred on July 4, 2009. Ruth was musically gifted and loved to play piano. At the age of 12, she played organ at her church. Ruth will be greatly missed by her son, Brian (Sara) Goossen; daughter, Laurie (Greg) Jahn; grandchildren, Dylan, Nicolas, Peter, Leah and Heidi; great-grandchildren, Kira, Cole, Jada, Tyra, Daniel, David and Conner. Everyone who knew Ruth recognized her fierce independence and pride in her Irish roots. Visitation will be from 11-11:30 AM, Monday, March 17, 2014 at Sunland Memorial Park and Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, Arizona.
