Sandra K. Olson, 58 of Puyallup WA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 15th, 2010. She was born in Rochester Minnesota to Wayne and Ruby Vrieze. She graduated college from Pacific Lutheran University in 1991, with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a minor in History. In 1972 Sandi was married to Ronald Olson at Collins Community Church in Puyallup. They had 3 boys; Justin, Kevin and Ryan. Sandi devoted her life to serving God, loving her family and reaching out to friends. She was an active member of her church; serving as a Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, involved in women’s ministries and Bible studies. Her heart was always hopeful and her character was trusting. She was successful in her life at encouraging those around her. Sandi lived a life of teaching and supporting. She began as a little girl, instructing her younger brother and sister and 15 years of her life, she committed to teaching in the Dieringer school district. She also spent time teaching ESL at Pierce College. Sandi was unwavering in her life as a teacher to her sons. She brought light in perspective to her boys to her last breath. Whether helpful advice or direction, her guidance was always treasured. Sandi and Ron were each other’s cheerleaders. Ron encouraged her through their life together, and there will be a tremendous void in life by her absence. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is preceded in life by her sister Pam. She leaves behind her loving husband Ron; sons Justin (Dawn), Kevin (Chrissi), and Ryan; Grandchildren Kendall, Aubree, Morgan, Reece and Garrison. Her father Wayne and mother Ruby, brothers Larry & Paul and sister Trudy. Along with countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Sandi’s life will be held at Praise Covenant Harvard Campus on Monday November 22nd, 2010 at 2pm. (Formerly Harvard Covenant, 85th and Portland Avenue Tacoma Wa. )
