Died peacefully at 92 years of age on April 3, 201l in Tacoma, WA.
In 2003, Dale moved into the Willow Gardens in Puyallup, WA until 2010, when he relocated to Pioneer Place in Tacoma, WA
Dale left Kansas as a young man and married his first wife Lois. Shortly after WWII began Dale joined the Navy. He was trained in the installation and maintenance of all the electronic equipment on the Ramapo an oil tanker/refueler which served in the Pacific.
Dale and his family were stationed in Bremerton, where they laid roots in Bellevue, WA. Upon discharge he became a meat cutter/manager for Safeway and also began his Real Estate career in Bellevue. Dale transitioned from a butcher to a 40 year career in real estate with John L Scott, and other companies. His most fulfilling time in real estate was his tenure as the President of the Eastside Brokers Association.
A favorite hobby was photography which, in retirement allowed him to work many years as the quality control director for the NW Multiple Listing company.
He was very active in the Community of Christ Church; where his sound system talents were especially appreciated. His retirement years were many and his life was blessed with a second marriage to Myra Ames. They traveled the country, sightseeing with their trailer. After Myra deceased, Dale married Laura House. He and Laura were an integral part of a small gospel music group ministering to retirement facilities.
Dale is survived by his two sons and their wives Dale Jr (Susan), and Robert (Julie). He also leaves a brother Lee Vernon residing in Colorado.
