He was born to TJ and Ruth M. Passmore on May 15, 1950 in DeRidder, Louisiana. He was raised in Vinton, Louisiana and graduated from Vinton High School in 1968. Tommy worked as a boilermaker for 36 years. He was a very generous, caring son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved to make others smile with his quick wit and giving spirit. He enjoyed travel, sports, and his true passion was golfing. He was of the Baptist faith. Tommy was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his sisters, Linda (Bill) Shackelford of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Barbara (Bobbie) Berry of Sulphur, Louisiana; four nieces, Cindy Berry, Tisha (Bart) Anderson, Tara (Thomas) Cox, Teah (Joshua) Hasha; one nephew Ronnie (Christina) Berry; 11 great nieces/nephews; 1 great-great nephew; and many friends.
The family wishes to thank special friends Byron (Chris) Pilley of Phoenix and M.D. Anderson Hospital. He was as generous in death as he was in life, by donating his body to Science Care, which provides tissues and organs for medical use, research, and education.
