She was a native of Anahuac, Texas, and had been a resident of Sulphur for the last eight years. Misty was extremely artistic and enjoyed painting, cooking, wood working, restoring antique furniture, and gardening. She had the ability to make anything she encountered more beautiful. A lover of all animals, Misty rescued and cared for as many as she could in her lifetime. Often described as one of the funniest and most kind-hearted people you’ve ever met, Misty will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Survivors include her husband of seven years, Charles Hinman of Sulphur; her son, Connor Hinman; her step children, Grayson Hinman, Anna Hinman, Victoria Hinman, and Jesse Hinman, all of Sulphur; her mother, Deborah Humphrey of Houston, Texas; her sister, Megan Humphrey of Austin, Texas; her father-in-law, John Hinman of Spring, Texas; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Stephen Humphrey.
Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
