She was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church and also the JD's Coloristas group. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, quilting, sewing, crocheting, and would conquer anything she set her mind to do.
She is survived by her children, James Crawford and wife, Virginia of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Donald Crawford and wife, Myrna of Orange, Texas, Charles Crawford of Sulphur, Rickey Crawford and wife, Maria Fe of Orange, Texas, and Barbara Roberts and husband, Daniel of Sulphur; her sisters, Lena Metcalf of Colorado, Jackie Monceaux of Sulphur, Virginia Rabne of Birmingham, Alabama, and Genevieve Harrigan of Los Angeles, California; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, George Crawford; her son, Larry Crawford; and a brother, Kermit East.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 10, in Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church. The Rev. John Welch, M.S. will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
