MeMe, daughter and third child of the late Gus and Mary Herman, was born in Orange, Texas on June 21, 1958. She was born and raised in the Catholic Church and was a parishioner of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus in Carlyss, where she served on the committee for the Bon Ton Festival. In her childhood and teenage years, she enjoyed living on a farm in Gilmer, Texas before attending Kilgore College where she studied marketing. Her undeniable charisma and infectious personality extended beyond her career, including working at local newspapers, Stines, Cameron Communications, McMullen and Mancuso, among other passion projects. Her genuine love for people established her reputation as a beloved party planner, parade float decorator, and photographer. If you played baseball in the Lake Area during the '80s and '90s, odds are MeMe took your pictures. Above all else, she was a family woman, devoted to her partner and husband Romeo for over 30 years, adorer of her grandchildren and a loving daughter, aunt and cousin.
MeMe was preceded in death by her father, Gus Herman; her mother, Mary Lou Herman; and her brother, Harold Herman.
She is survived by her husband, Romeo Espinosa; her sons, Rusty Reider (Tanya Smith), Chase Reider (Lexie Ross), and David Romeo Espinosa; her brother, Bill Herman (Mollie); her sister, Punkin Reider (Bill); grandchildren, Reese Reider, Raynie Reider, Raegan Reider, Chaylea Reider, Draydon Reider and Azalie Ross; many cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members who will cherish her memory forever.
