She was a native of Blairsville, Georgia and had been a resident of the Lake Charles-Sulphur area since 1987. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur. Loni worked at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital for many years as a Medical Social Worker and Discharge Planner. She was very passionate about education and had received her Master's Degree from North Georgia College. She enjoyed crocheting, writing, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Larry Kemp of Sulphur; her children, Chris Watts and wife, Kathy of Blairsville, Georgia, Elizabeth Tanksley of Bremerton, Washington, Jayne Penn and husband, Ric of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Michelle Pottorff and husband, Jimmy of Sulphur, and Holly Hall and husband, Ronald "Gordie" of Valparaiso, Indiana; her grandchildren, Courtney Payne and husband, Tommy, Abby Kudin and husband, Dima, Megan Pottorff, Austin Pottorff and wife, Hailey, and Dani Pottorff, and Jason Matthews; her great-grandchildren, Maddie, Harper, Solomon, Lainey, and Philip; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Bonnie Snow; her brothers, Patrick Snow and William John "Bill" Snow; a grandson, Joshua Henry; and a nephew, Pat Snow.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Alex Geovanni will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Keith Malone, Jimmy Pottorff, Austin Pottorff, Tanner Tittsworth, and Willbee Fruge.
