For reasons unbeknownst to us, Justin Robert Brock, 37 of Sulphur, LA, suddenly and abruptly hauled it to heaven on Saturday May 6th, 2023. Justin joins his Bubba Cat, who has been patiently waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge and is presumed to have helped him cross over, despite reports of strange barking sounds that echoed throughout the ether as they skipped off to see our mighty Creator. Ruuuff!
Justin was also preceded in death by his Grandparents Ed & Myrtle Brock, Robert & Tommy Lou Tyler, and his Pop, Davis Guillory. He also shares a death anniversary with his beloved cousin Ryan Guillory.
Surviving family members include his Granny, Bea Guillory; Mother and Step-Father, Leah & Keith Berry; Father and Step-Mother, Mark & Gwen Brock; as well as many many siblings including, Courtney Brock, Mindy Johnson & Calvin, Gavin Carruth & Amber, Chase Brock & Hailey, Colin Brock, Garret Brock & Madison, Derek Caldwell & Alexis, Dustin Berry & Steffani, Shannon Berry & Beau; too many nieces and nephews to count; and his bonus family… Lori Trainer, Kacie Gurney & James, Holly Reves & Clint, and Michael Fuselier & Courtney, whom he loved since birth.
Justin loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and they equally adored him. He LIVED to cut up and make people laugh (especially with his cousin Janai), and always stuck up for the underdog. Growing up, he kept us in stitches and would create his own hysterical vocabulary to call people he loved, like Stitchel and Tichael Bruce Hamilton. He could cut a rug on the dance floor and drop it like it’s hot at a stop light, in a crowded restaurant, or anywhere else he felt inspired to shake it. Justin had the gift of having a servant’s heart, and he thrived on making people smile and feel good about themselves. It would have been a challenge to be in a room with Justin and not giggle or smile. His smile and laugh were contagious and we were all so lucky to have shared our lives with him. He will forever be missed, but we take comfort in knowing he is with us and that we will one day see him again.
We will celebrate his life at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm and service to follow at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that in honor of Justin a donation is made to NAMI Louisiana at https://namilouisiana.org/get-involved/donate_now
