Joyce Marie (Dominque) Richard

She was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and spending time with her family... especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very kind person with a generous heart. She will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her children, Mona Chasson of Sulphur, Kathy Portie and husband, Ronnie of Katy, Texas, and Guy Richard of Sulphur; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Richard; her parents, Leodice and Amanda (Mallot) Dominque; and her sister, Rita Coleman.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 18, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Deacon Keith Ellender will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
