Doris was a native of New York and moved from Southwest Louisiana to South Carolina in 2005 after Hurricane Rita. She attended the Hackberry Methodist Church. She enjoyed being around her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to cook. She enjoyed playing the piano and dancing. Doris had tremendous faith in the Lord.
Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly L. Courmier and her husband Chad, of Sulphur, and Cynthia K. Taylor of Lauren, South Carolina; sisters, Phyllis Mazza of Wordgate, New York, Marjorie Desmarais of Boca Rotan, Florida, and Clara McCoy of Walcott, New York; grandchildren Sheri Brouillette and her husband Alan, and Jeff Taylor; and great grandchildren, Aiden Taylor, and Lillian Brouillette.
She is preceded in death by her husband Boyce Joseph Landry; and son Jeffrey William Orendorff.
Pallbearers, honored to serve, will be Jeff Taylor, Alan Brouillette, Clevland Pitre, A.J. Elkins, Mike Dowers, and Robbie Courmier.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 4, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial. The Rev. Alan Weishampel will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday and from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, all in the funeral home.
