On December 17, 2021, Dana Ray Beck, 65 years of age, went to be with the Lord in Heaven. He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Jackie Wiggins Beck; his mother and father, Nancy and Albert Thomas Beck. He is survived by his daughter Angela Whittal, and his two grandchildren Kayleigh Stark and Josh Istre; his sisters Linda Sirmons, Jeanette Penley and Margie Smith; his brother Glen Thomas Beck and wife Mary; and several nieces and nephews.
Bo was a kind man, with a huge heart. He was always there to help a person in need. He opened his home many times for people to live when they were down on their luck. Bo always took life with a smile and could give the best hugs. As an uncle, he was the “fun one”. Many fun childhood memories were made while spending summers at Uncle Bo’s house. Bo was the happiest when he and Jackie became a Pawpaw and Mawmaw to Kayleigh and Josh.
Bo was a lifelong resident of Sulphur, Louisiana, where he worked over 30 years for Citgo and was a member of the Emergency Response Team at the facility. His heart of service led him to be part of the Ward 6 Volunteer Fire Department in Calcasieu Parrish, where he was recognized as an Honorary life time member.
His memory will live in the hearts of those he touched, and nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so very much.
A celebration of life service will be held January 15, 2022 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home, 2051 East Napoleon Street, Sulphur, LA from 2pm to 5pm.
