Bobby Dick Bell, 91, passed away on Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 in a local hospital. He was born on July, 9th, 1929 to his parents, Darl Baldridge Bell Sr. and Mary Amanda Carlisle Bell in Dry Prong, LA.
He was a native of Dry Prong, LA and moved to Lake Charles in 1957. Later he and his family moved to Carlyss, LA. He was an active member of Houston River Baptist Church. Bobby enjoyed camping, fishing and working on anything with a motor! He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Edwina W. Bell of Sulphur; two sons, Thomas W. Bell and wife Catherine of Sulphur, Lindsey Bell and wife Kathy of Highlands, TX.; four grandchildren, Robert, Jared, Derek, and Whitney; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 30, in Houston River Baptist Church's Family Life Center and will resume on Saturday, May 1 at 9 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Family Life Center. Pastor Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Interment will be in Mimosa Pines South in Carlyss at a later date under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
