Barbara Richard

She was born in Orange, Texas and lived in Sulphur most of her life. Barbara was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and was a member of the choir. She loved to sew and take care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her children, Christina Wise and husband, Michael, Greg Richard, Michael Richard and wife, Susan; grandchildren, John Richard, Anje Daigle and husband, Jared, Dana Palozotto, Melissa Doucet, Anna Jeffers, Byron Jeffers, Krista Richard, Leah Richard, Jeremy Richard and wife, Kim, Lauren Ardoin, Brandon Ardoin, Conner Ardoin, and Emily Ardoin; step-grandchildren, Christopher and Katie Wise; 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Richard; parents, Ceva and Viola Staley; siblings, Myrtis Broussard, Paul Stalely, Amos Staley, Forest Staley and Lavelle Staley Sharon; daughters, Mary Richard Palozotto and Laura Richard Jeffers; grandson, Bill Richard.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 6, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Tom Huhn will officiate.
