Twana Thomas Schulz, went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2015. She was a devoted and dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jared Schulz; their two children, Ashton and Erika; her parents, Travis and Doris Thomas of Montgomery, Texas; her sisters, Terri Thomure of San Antonio, Texas and Lisa Harvey of Conroe, Texas; and many extended family.
Twana was a double lung transplant recipient and dedicated her life to promoting organ donation through LifeGift. She was a selfless giver of her time and involved in many community activities including volunteering at her children’s schools, Baines Middle School and Ridge Point High School. She was very active at The Harvest United Methodist Church. She was also a life member of both Eastern Star and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo serving on the General Go Texan committee. If that wasn’t enough, she recently dabbled in fashion with her clothing business The BOOTique and More.
Twana treasured time with her family including Ashton’s sporting events and Erika’s dance activities. She enjoyed summer vacations with the family as they visited the major league baseball parks across the country and supported Jared’s business interests through international travels with him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at Sugar Land First United Methodist Church, 431 Eldridge Rd., Sugar Land, TX. A light reception and fellowship will follow. Visitation at The Harvest United Methodist Church, 9029 Sienna Ranch Rd., Missouri City, TX from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2015. Interment at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX, Monday, September 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
