Timothy Lee Pearce Sr., born on May 17, 1958, in Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on October 31, 2024, in Houston. TX.
Tim’s early years were filled with unique experiences, as his father served in the U.S. Air Force. The Pearce family was stationed in Japan from the time Tim was just 18 months old until he was 4 years old. After their time overseas, the family relocated to Texas, where Tim would grow up and eventually make his home.
Tim graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School in Houston, Texas, in 1977, and quickly began his career in the workforce. He dedicated 39 years of his life to Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, where he earned a reputation for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and the respect he showed his colleagues. Tim's commitment to his work was unmatched, and he found joy in mentoring others and building lasting friendships.
Tim was known for his sense of humor and his warmth. He particularly enjoyed playing Santa Claus during the holidays, delighting in the smiles and joy he brought to both children and adults alike. His love for spreading happiness and making others feel special was something he did year-round, but it shone brightest when he donned the red suit. The magic he created, especially for families, will be fondly remembered.
Outside of work, Tim had a wide range of passions. He was a passionate fan of baseball, including the Space Cowboys, formerly known as the Skeeters and the Astros. Tim also loved spending time outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or traveling to new places. But more than anything, Tim adored his family—especially his grandchildren. His grandchildren, Crawford Otto and Kaylee Otto, were the lights of his life. He cherished every moment with them, always making time for family traditions and creating new ones. His heart was full when he was with them, and he took great pride in watching them grow.
Family was the center of Tim's world. His love and dedication to his wife, Mary Lou Pearce, whom he shared 39 wonderful years of marriage with, was unwavering. He was also a proud father to Katie Pearce Otto (Casey Otto) and Timothy "TJ" Pearce Jr. (Tamires Lucas), as well as a loving brother to Danny Pearce (Mabel Pearce). Tim's extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews and cousins, were all blessed by his generous spirit and loving nature.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Pearce, his mother, Lillie Davis Pearce, and his beloved grandson, Parker Otto. Tim is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and his extended family, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Tim was a man of quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and boundless love. His laughter, his love for his family, and his generous spirit will be deeply missed. His legacy of kindness, joy, and devotion will live on in the lives he touched.
A celebration of life for Timothy will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM at The Settegast-Kopf Company@Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Tim's memory, honoring his lifelong commitment to helping others.
