Rebecca Wolf Workman

Rebecca (Becky) Wolf Workman, a long-time resident of Missouri City, Texas, passed away on April 4, 2021, at the age of 78. She was born in Austin, Texas on April 21, 1942, to Pauline and Sam Wolf. Becky attended Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, Texas, where she was a member of the Red Jacket Drill Team, and The University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. While at UT, she met Joe Workman on a blind date, and in 1963, she graduated with a B.A. in English and married Joe later that summer.

Becky and Joe moved to Quail Valley in 1973 where she was a Realtor for eight years before joining First National Bank of Missouri City and becoming Vice President of Corporate Administration. She served on the board of the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce and was the recipient of the Chamber’s Vicki Hamilton Award for Outstanding Community Service in 1993.

Becky had a passion for golf and enjoyed serving as LGA Tournament Chair for Quail Valley and Sweetwater Country Clubs. She also devoted time to volunteering with Fort Bend ISD Education Foundation, Child Advocates, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and Regional Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. Becky was a gifted chef, prolific gift-giver, devoted grandmother, loving wife and mother, friend and confidante to many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joe Workman; daughters Kara Stanicic and husband Robert of Houston; Tracy Goins and husband Michael of Cypress; Kimberley Nelson and husband Jeffrey of Houston; sister Virginia Collier of Dallas; niece Kathryn Bohling; nephews Charles Collier and Donald Collier; and her loving grandchildren Jake Goins, Emma Goins, Ryan Stanicic, and Zane Stanicic.

A celebration of Becky’s life will be held on April 15, 2021, at 3:00 pm at Quail Valley Golf Club in the Bluebonnet Room with a reception to follow in the Magnolia Ballroom.
