Ramon San Juan Sandoval Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on June 3, 1954, in Puerto Princesa, Philippines, Ramon led a life of service, devotion, and joy.
After completing his studies at National University in Manila, Ramon enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served proudly for 20 years. His dedication to his country extended beyond his military service as he continued his work as a civilian contractor for the military for another 20 years, making lasting contributions to those around him.
Ramon was passionate about many things in life. He enjoyed traveling, particularly on cruises, and loved shopping for his family, always finding the perfect gift for his loved ones. He was an avid cook and gardener, often sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. A fan of sports, Ramon enjoyed watching basketball and had a love for boxing in his younger years. His evenings were often spent enjoying shows like American Idol and Dancing with the Stars, where he would enthusiastically cheer for his favorite contestants.
Ramon was preceded in death by his father, Ramon Rodriguez Sandoval Sr., his mother, Salome San Juan Sandoval, and his siblings Myrna Sandoval Childs, Violeta Sandoval Gonzales, Sonia Sandoval, Franklin Sandoval, Elizardo Sandoval, and Edgar Sandoval.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Alicia Sandoval; his daughters, Honeylet Sandoval, and Ashley Sandoval-Garza (Jason Garza); his son, Raymond Sandoval; his brother, Alberto Sandoval; and his cherished grandchildren, Helena Love Febre, Alexander Nathaneil Febre, and Michael Tavian Alvarez.
Ramon will be remembered for his kindness, his devotion to his family, and his unwavering love for his country. His legacy lives on through his family, who will carry forward the many lessons he imparted to them. May he rest in peace.
A visitation for Ramon will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 7522 Everhart Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78413. A committal service will occur Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
