Patricia A. Thomson passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at the age of 74. Patricia was a retired Senior Police Officer. She started her law enforcement career with the Houston City Marshal’s Office on January 7, 1980. On November 21, 1992, the Marshal’s Office merged with the Houston Police Department. Throughout her career with the department, she was assigned to the Marshal Division. She retired on June 1, 2002.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents William Davis Duke, Nancy May, and Oscar Coy May, sister; Sharon Laverne Reist-Johnson, cousin; Isaiah Bernal, and niece; Kimberly Benaske.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna Jean Thomson and her husband Anthony Duddleson, Donald Ray Thomson, Jr. and his wife Laura, Debbie Ann Thomson, and Jonathan Michael Thomson, her sisters; Brenda Roebuck and her husband Paul, Nancy Bernal and her partner Kevin, her brothers; David May and wife Annie, Coy May, Jr. and his wife Alice, and Michael May and his wife Maria, grandkids; Patrick Nicholas Thomson, Laralee Amber Thomson, and Lexi Ann Thomson and numerous other relatives and friends.
Donations in lieu of flowers would be appreciated to help with the celebration of life and funeral expenses. Please give those donations directly to Donald Thomson, Jr. Charity donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. This charity is especially meaningful as Patricia lost her sister Sharon to breast cancer and currently her daughter Debbie Thomson is fighting breast cancer.
A visitation will be held at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Police Honors will start at 3:00 p.m.
