Karen passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 1, 2020 in Houston, Texas at the age of 68 years. Karen was born in Beaumont, Texas and grew up in the Spring Branch area of Houston, Texas. She graduated from Spring Woods High School and attended Texas State University. She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Olsen. Karen is survived by her father John Olsen; brother Dana Olsen and wife Becky; son Cody Davis and his wife Kelly; daughter Jessica Cano and her husband Juan; four beautiful grandchildren Aubrey Cano, Hayes Davis, Hadley Davis and Presley Cano. Karen loved family gatherings, attending her grandchildren’s sports and dance competitions were a large part of Karen’s life. Karen had recently lost her faithful companion of many years, a Dachshund named Roxy who had traveled with her as Karen’s job took her from Georgetown, Texas to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and finally back to Houston, Texas. After Roxy’s passing, Karen discovered a love for fostering dachshund’s. She was active with DREAM Dachshund Rescue. Karen was also an avid reader from a very early age and had read thousands of novels over the years. Reading was a lifelong passion.
A celebration of Karen’s life will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2pm at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek. Tribute and or condolences can be left at www.settegastkopf.com.
