DONNA JEAN STONE ADAMS, age 89, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015. She was born February 25, 1926, in Independence, Missouri, to William and Edith Wallace Stone. Donna was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be greatly missed by those who loved her, and by those whose lives she touched. In her working life, she was a telephone operator and held various clerical positions, but most importantly she was a homemaker whose main priority was her family. She practiced her faith in the Southern Baptist tradition. Donna was a member of the Cheerful Clown Alley of Houston, and a past member of the Kitchen Band, clown name “Cookout.”
Donna is survived by her husband, Marion Harold Adams of Missouri City; son, John Adams of Nashville, TN; daughters, Judy Freitag of Milford, MI, Jean Pirtle of Missouri City, TX, Jenny Adams of Newnan, GA, and Jeanette Adams Fuller of Newnan, GA; grandchildren, Ashley Pirtle Freeman of Fulshear, TX, Adam Pirtle of Missouri City, TX, Austin Adams of Nashville, TN, Angela Adams of Nashville, TN, Jeff Susalla of Milford, MI, and Shelley Sikes; and great-grandchildren, Julia Freeman, Nolan Freeman, Skye Williams, Jayden Sikes, Courtney Susalla, Kyle Susalla, and Matthew Susalla.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in the Morrow Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit), with a visitation beginning at 12:00 PM, prior to the beginning of the service. A private interment will follow on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Houston National Cemetery.
